The NF.Tournaments is a current aspiration that seeks to combine the elements of trading and market analysis of the NFT and crypto market with the ever-growing space of sports and eSports.

The current market conditions that we are facing are difficult for everyone. Traders are going through steep ups and downs, that are seemingly whimsical and random, while playing a game of hot potato.

Developers and builders are finding it difficult to navigate the demanding market with the current meta focusing on “Free-To-Mint” while managing time and expectations. And, the community are finding it difficult to find opportunities within an ever-expansive world of NFT projects that are trying to run before they learn to walk or to dance before the music starts.

The NF.Tournaments seeks to offer the interactive element to trading and collecting with a spice of entertainment through a Fantasy Basketball League. Tournaments will start and play while you trade, develop, build, and engage. You are the Manager, NFTs are the players, Web3 the court, and the market determines whether you’ve got that Curry shot, Jordan Walk, or Magic Touch!

Tournament Format

Tournament registration for Managers will be open every Friday 23:59 UTC until Sunday 06:00 UTC (a period of 30 hours) for each respective tournament (excluding The Central). Managers will need to ensure their team has been formally signed up before the deadline or wait until the next tournament intake. Each 4 week season, 3 official tournaments are held. There is no sign-up fee.

The Eastern Tournament will start week 1 (Match-ups) and run to the end of week 2 (Play-offs).

The Western Tournament will start week 2 (Match-ups) and run to the end of week 3 (Play-offs).

The Central Tournament will start and end in week 4.

The Eastern and Western Tournaments will determine which teams participate in the Central Tournament. The Central Tournament will determine the overall winner. The Grand Central Tournament will be held in April 2023, and will consist of the winning teams from the previous 5 Central Tournaments to compete for a grand prize.

League & Round Format

Manager’s will be placed into leagues of equal sizes. This league will determine who you play against during match-ups week. During Match-Ups; Manager’s will engage in 3 games per day with all members of their league. All games are autonomously performed with each result being released at 06:00 / 12:00 / 18:00 UTC respectively. At the end of game 3, each day, managers can make changes to their starting line and submit their roster before 00:00 UTC.

Leagues will play across 5 days during match-ups week and the top teams of each league will move into Play-offs week. Manager’s will engage in 3 games per day with 3 different teams and each game. All games are autonomously performed with each result being released at 06:00 / 12:00 / 18:00 UTC respectively. At the end of game 3, each day, managers can make changes to their starting line and submit their roster before 00:00 UTC. Scoring Format

Scoring formats will differ based on Match-Up Week and Play-Offs Week. Teams will participate in a ROTO (Rotisserie) scoring during Match-Up week. Each game will focus on the 9 categories with each team in the league ranked 1st to last, gaining points based on the total number of teams in the league e.g. (10 Teams) 1st 10 points, 2nd 9points…8th 3points, 9th 2 points, 10th 1 point.

Crowned Crusaders; Match-Up Week, Day 1, Game 1.

Teams will participate in a H2H: Categories (Head to Head: Categories) and will play similar to Match-Ups during the Play-Offs week. Teams will play 3 games each day. Teams will go H2H in 3 random categories in each game and will gain 1 point for a Win, 0 for a loss, and 0 for a tie against their opponent. At the end of 5 days, the team with the most accumulated points overall, wins.

Reward System

Registration and participation in tournaments are free. Tournament rewards will change and improve as the project builds success. The first set of prizes will be 5 custom AF1s. The overall winner of the Central Tournament will gain their choice of 1 of the 5, and a custom pair of their team colours into a Legacy design.
